About this file
The Fur File is built from firsthand rescue experience — real illnesses, real recoveries, real losses — checked line by line against current veterinary literature so the numbers here are accurate, not guessed.
Every case file follows the same structure: overview, symptoms, causes, diagnosis, treatment, home checks you can actually do, supportive care, emergency warning signs, prevention, and an honest prognosis with sources. Each one also has a spot for a rescuer's personal note, and real photos of the rescue cats who guide you through related conditions.
This is educational content, not veterinary advice. If your animal is showing emergency signs, don't wait on a search result — get to a vet.
Dog case files are in progress and will be added to the library.
